Manchester: there is no way of not dreaming…

Manchester, originally uploaded by albertpoghosyan.

Life lasts dreaming all the time. When one gets what he/she was dreaming of, one forgets about it immediately and starts to dream of something else. However, probably the best is to keep one idealistic dream ever that can’t really come to true, but will always forward you to the new and new horizons. Maybe this can be noticed while looking thorough into this photo. Yes. Maybe you imagine yourself an astronaut who has just discovered a new planet in the solar system. Or maybe a diver, who has fallen down to an unexplored world. It looks as a story you create for yourself. Some name it life, some name it a game. But definitely, there is a way and those dreams tempt us so deep that we tempt out fates to change something in this world.
Anyway this world of discoveries and mystics attract us more even millions on wall street (well at least some of us). And we just forget about everything in our lifes just to go for that. To light which is shown to some of us at the end of the tunnel.

My viewpoint on corruption in Armenia

This work will take you deeper into psychology and nature of human beings; especially the ones who lived in Ex-Soviet Union Republics – the Republic of Armenia. Two of the words in the title of my work need to be defined in order to form a complete picture of my viewpoint. You will be taken through the history of Armenia and Armenians. The work will define what corruption is and how Armenians perceive the meaning of corruption, and, of course, we will reach the idea – what to do next?

This is one of my unpublished papers and I hope it will be useful for anybody interested in strange phenomenon of Armenians.

Outsourcing: Smart or Natural Smart

The quote “Rather than jumping into outsourcing everything, many companies prefer to start slow” made by Tony Macina from IBM Global Services clearly indicates the attitude of modern business towards outsourcing. (Lacity and Willcocks, 2000)

Well, outsourcing management is very important in the world of globalization. As the girl from joke says - we could outsource even our homeworks to India. I would like to start this post from how I wrote this paper.
First of all this subject was interesting - IT Management. I attended the module with great pleasure and wrote down every lecture. In the assignment I hoped rather to be focused on managerial tools, but our lecturer1 wanted us to write about outsourcing IT. Immediately I started  to think about a topic for my assignment. And as you already know I like to think. I spent the 90% of the stipulated time and started working on the paper only 4 days before the deadline. Anyway it proved to be enough for completing a paper on such a topic.

I prepared the MindMap of the future paper based on books and articles I have read on the topic. After working on the map I sent it to my lecturer. He agreed that the idea was enough original but was too risky. I agreed as well. The more risky, the more nteresting.

Paper consists of the following parts:

Organisational Transparency

I have written this work in the framework of my assignment entitled “How organisations experience blogs” from University. I know that there is no direct connection between Organisational Transparency and experiencing blogs, but eventually it is always possible to reveal a connection. So instead of writing about blogs directly, I just started to read about Organisational Transparency. On the next day, when I was searching for a book, I found “The Naked Corporation”, great book of Don Tapscott and David Ticoll. Without thinking much, I bought it from Amazon for 4£.

ISBN: 0743246500 The Naked Corporation (www.nakedcorporation.com)
Outstanding book. I really enjoy reading it and I advice anybody who plans to become a manager or held a similar position in future to have it. Here is a quotation from the book that I found highly fascinating:

“If you have to be naked, you had better be buff. We are entering an extraordinary age of transparency, where businesses must for the first time make themselves clearly visible to shareholders, customers, employees, partners, and society. Financial data, employee grievances, internal memos, environmental disasters, product weaknesses, international protests, scandals and policies, good news and bad; all can be seen by anyone who knows where to look. Welcome to the world of the naked corporation. Transparency is revolutionizing every aspect of our economy and its industries and forcing firms to rethink their fundamental values.”

My Future

Today, for the first time in my life, I though about tomorrow.

I mean it… it is quiet difficult to think about tomorrow, but it is necessary from time to time. After all, if I don’t, then who will?

Anyway, to be honest, it was difficult to start up this blog. The while thinking that the idea was a good one, I decided to tell about my upcoming plan to one of my lecturers at the University of Salford. Probably at that moment she was thinking about the same (she was actually, as after that discussion we started to write an assignment about blogs) and her reply was - “You need to have a blog”. The idea seemed exiting to me, but from the other hand - “who? I?”, I don’t even know how to construct a correct sentence. (you see?) How can I blog? However, as there is nothing impossible, I said to myself - “Albert, you can”.
