Armenian Project Management Association (APMA)

Short description
The target of APMA (NGO) is to establish society of professionals working in the field of Project Management. APMA’s mission statement is: “To develop and promote the professional disciplines of project management for the public benefit”.

At the heart of APMA is the PMI Body of Knowledge, International Project Management Association (IPMA) and APM Body of Knowledge; fifty-two knowledge areas required to manage any successful project. We promote the use of the PM Body of Knowledge through qualifications, accredited training, publications and events.

APM Members are skilled and experienced professionals recognised in the Armenia and throughout the world via IPMA; PMI and APM Group.

Our strategy is based around six key areas:
• Knowledge: Becoming the recognised source for the development and dissemination of knowledge for project management.
• Professional Development: Developing and maintaining an internationally recognised structure of qualifications relevant to cross-sector practice.
• Membership: Attracting and retaining members through a growing range of value-for-money services and products.
• International: Promoting and protecting the interests and standards of APMA and its members at home and abroad.
• Governance & Administration: Providing an efficient, cost-effective, transparent core for APMA to deliver the plans, services and products to members, potential members and society as a whole.
• Code of Conducts: Create Armenian Project Managers code of conducts to implement it in member’s organizations. Additionally, APMA will protect any member in case if any company will violate professional code of conduct accepted by APMA member.

Aims and objectives of organization
• Successful at establishing individual and organizational appreciation of the value of project management.
• The leader in defining the project management career path by setting the bar for excellence in certification.
• The organization where the “great minds” in project management share their ideas.
• The provider of forums to explore the potential growth and maturation of the profession.
• The leader in the evolution of the profession and the maturity of its practice.
• The primary source for gathering and disseminating project management knowledge and information.
